Claudio Simonetti

Claudio Simonetti was born in Rome, January 29, 1929, into a family of artists. From his father he inherited his love for art and interest in colors.

He began his studies at the Rome School of Art, and after these studies, he traveled extensively throughout Italy and France, where he painted from nature and learned from his associations with other artists. He still paints and exhibits regularly in Rome, Venice, Naples, Milan and Paris.

His landscapes of the Italian countryside, his marine paintings of coastal villages and the scenes of the canals of Venice are based on the fundamentals of painting: drawing, composition and color.
