Lia V.
(b.1967) was born in Athens Greece but her family moved to the Island
of Avia when she was a young girl. As a young girl Lia would pass the
time sketching the beauty that surrounded her. It is Avia that continues
to be the source of inspiration for much of her work. In 1994, Lia moved
to the United States and eventually settled in New York City. It was here
Lia began her formal art training at the Arts Student League in Manhattan,
studying under Christine Jordon and Peter Golfinopoulos. It was quickly
recognized that Lia had extraordinary artistic talent and in 2007 was
selected as the only student to appear in the Arts Student League catalog.
Lia continues to exhibit yearly at the Arts Student League yearly exhibition.
Her art already appears in private collections in New York City and she
is proving to be a rising superstar in the world of art. |
